Simple Woman's Daybook - February

I really need this today!  Have a horrible task I'm dreading later, so trying hard to focus on simple happy things this morning ;)

eta: Don't you love that wonderful feeling of calm when the job you were dreading is done, and not as bad as you thought?  Ha!

FOR TODAY, 13th February, 2013

Outside My Window...
Very grey, very cold!  My back garden needs a serious overhaul...but that's on hold until Spring {come on, Spring!}

I am thinking...about aforementioned horrible task!  Arg.

From the kitchen...I made this amazing salsa chicken thing in my crockpot on Sunday, it is seriously The Yum.

I am creating... Another crochet blanket for my Folksy shop - am on a crochet kick right now ;)

I am going... to stop worrying about things I can't help and try to be zen master about it all.  Try!

I am reading...Oh man, still Les Miserables courtesy Librivox.  It is looong.  I am also listening to Sad Cypress by Agatha Christie to switch it up a little ;)

I am hoping... that this afternoon isn't as awkward or bad as I'm anticipating!

I am thankful . . . for letters from friends, for the gorgeous gift Jenny sent me {photos to follow later when I locate my camera cable}

I am hearing... Mumford and Sons...I am delaying buying their new album by listening to Sigh no more.  Still great.

Around the house...I am in need of more decluttering and clearing...trying to only do a little bit at a time, but it's a big job!!

Some of my favorite things... tea (always!), my new shiny computer {big screen=all the better to see you with, also touch screen and lots of shiny voodoo tech stuff I am still trying to get a handle on , haha!} Alias, My family.

A few plans for the rest of the week...survive today!  Hoop more, I just recently picked it up again after The Longest Time Of Not, and it's like starting over from scratch :/
