Weekending

Today was the Knitting and Stitching show in London (baby!)  I was pretty excited and have to confess to feeling a bit let down - in fact I emerged from the entire show having spent a whole £1.20 (!!) on some beads to make into a pair of earrings.  Last of the big spenders, me.  I'm not sure quite what was missing, maybe austerity is starting to hit home even in handicrafts circles - or maybe I am just too picky, but regardless I emerged with nary a new knitting project!

So I shall go back to my crocheted ipad/tablet sleeve {pics to follow!} and de-city-ify {again, maybe just me, but the hustle-bustle, travel, and crowds wears me right out!} and listen to some new/old music.  I stumbled on this on an old freebie cd from a paper many moons ago, and it is perfect for a quiet Saturday night crocheting.

{hurrah old music!}

And, I have the last couple of episodes of Call The Midwife to catch up on, I know, I'm so behind!

    Also sending you some hugs and putting the virtual kettle on for you re: Call the Midwife finale

  2. Rachel,
    I too have been to shows that were a bit of a let down. Oh well, ravelry is always my friend.
    Thanks for the link to such a classic, will have to listen while working on my latest knit.
    I loved watching Call of the Midwife. I wonder if they will do more episodes?
    Hugs,
    Karen
    P.S. I've nominated you for the Liebster blogging award and hope you'd like to participate.
